From the Office of the Executive Director

Dear Friends:

On behalf of the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC), I cordially invite you to attend and participate in a National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey event near you. Odyssey 2006 will be celebrated at more than sixty sites across the United States and abroad, and its mission of promoting the use of AFVs and advanced technology vehicles has never been more critical.

With our nation facing energy-dependence and environmental issues, making Odyssey 2006 a success is a priority. Our inaugural effort in 2002 included thirty-four sites across the nation. In 2004, fifty-four sites throughout North America participated, and 24 million individuals were reached through media outlets. Our goal for the third installment of Odyssey is to exceed these previous years’ achievements, and it appears we are on track to do just that.

I thank you in advance for your support, and I hope that this Odyssey edition of eNews will answer any questions you may have or help locate an Odyssey event near you. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of service in any way. See you at Odyssey!

Sincerely,

Al Ebron
NAFTC Executive Director
