October 12, 2006, will be the day for Americans to become better educated on the importance of alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles. With the continued trend of rising gasoline prices, national concerns surrounding our dependency on foreign oil, and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Odyssey is the only nationwide event to endorse alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) as a real viable option for the future of America. Now is the time for you to get involved to help make a difference!
The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) participated in the second West Virginia Summit on Homeland Security, held March 19–20 at Stonewall Jackson Resort in Walkersville, West Virginia. NAFTC Director Al Ebron gave five presentations of the Consortium’s new Hybrid Safety Workshop for First Responders at the event, which was organized by West Virginia Senator Jay Rockefeller. Police officers, firefighters, school officials, scientists, health experts, and government officials and educators were among the 375 participants in attendance.
