Get Involved with Odyssey 2006!

It is not too late to get involved with National AFV Day Odyssey 2006! October 12 will be a significant day for the alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) and advanced technology vehicle industry! To date, fifty-three sites have signed on to participate in National AFV Day Odyssey 2006, and the NAFTC is continuing to recruit additional sponsors, partners, and site coordinators in an effort to build awareness and educate individuals everywhere on the importance of AFVs and advanced technology vehicles.

Thanks to the generous support from our sponsors and partners, Odyssey 2006 looks to be a tremendous success. We could not conduct an event of this magnitude without them! The 2006 National AFV Day Odyssey sponsors to date include:

  • Global Electric Motorcars, LLC (GEM)
  • DaimlerChrysler
  • American Honda Motor Company
Odyssey partners include:
  • Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA)
  • General Service Administration (GSA)
  • National Biodiesel Board (NBB)
  • National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition (NEVC)
  • U.S. Department of Energy Clean City Coalitions
  • West Virginia University
  • Hundreds of local industry partners
It is not too late to get involved and participate in National AFV Day Odyssey. By hosting a 2006 Odyssey event, you will be a part of a special network of participating sites across the country. Each site will work toward the same goal of promoting the use of AFVs and advanced technology vehicles, tailoring the event to its unique situation and location. The NAFTC will provide each site with comprehensive national guidance, coordination, and support for National AFV Day Odyssey.

All Odyssey sites, sponsors, and partners will be recognized nationally and associated as a leader and supporter of the AFV industry. Furthermore, all involved will be listed on the National AFV Day Odyssey Web site (www.nationalafvdayodyssey.org) and highlighted in the Executive Report, which is distributed to Congress and to thousands of others nationwide. Together, we can make a difference!

If you would like to get involved with Odyssey 2006, please contact Odyssey Event Manager Julie Whiteman at NAFTC Headquarters via e-mail (julie.whiteman@mail.wvu.edu) or by calling 304-293-7882.
