The NAFTC brought its message of the importance of alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicles to lawmakers in West Virginia’s capital city on February 17. The Consortium exhibited at West Virginia University Day at the Legislature, held in Charleston at the State’s capitol building. The event is designed to show politicians and legislators the many dimensions of WVU’s programs and their service and outreach mission.
“Service to the State” was the theme of the day. Located in Morgantown, West Virginia, the NAFTC Headquarters and Training Lab have impacted the State of West Virginia tremendously through outreach and education services to many businesses, groups, and organizations. For example, the NAFTC has worked with several West Virginia county school districts such as Boone, Greenbrier, Logan, Monongalia, and Wood.
Many attended WVU Day at the Legislature, including hundreds of 4-H students who were extremely interested in the hydrogen fuel-cell model car that was part of the NAFTC exhibit. |
