National AFV Day Odyssey

NAFTC staff, member representatives, and other representatives from NAFTC National Training Centers met February 8–11, 2006, in Washington, D.C., at their largest business meeting of the year. The meeting consisted of Congressional information meetings, Consortium planning and strategizing, and professional development sessions.

Three new members were also formally recognized as NAFTC National Training Centers: Shoreline Community College, Shoreline, Washington; Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Nashville Auto-Diesel College, Nashville, Tennessee.

 

 

 

Al Ebron, NAFTC Executive Director, led NAFTC business discussions with members.

 

 

 

 

 

Lee Lambert, Interim President of Shoreline Community College, was the NAFTC guest speaker at the Congressional Information Luncheon.

 

 


 

 

Chris Peterson, Service Training Instructor, Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., - Central Atlantic Toyota Distributors made a three-hour, in-depth presentation on Toyota hybrid technology.

 

 

 

 

Ethan Brown, Director, Government Business Development at Ballard Power Systems gave the NAFTC members an update on Ballard’s fuel cell development.
