Two new Assistant Directors have been added at the NAFTC headquarters. Randall Levelle, Assistant Director – Programs, and Judy Moore, Assistant Director – Communications are hard at work learning the industry!

Judy Moore and Randall Levelle

Randall came to the NAFTC after years as the Senior Administrator of the National Environmental Training Center for Small Communities. He has over 10 years of Grants management experience, primarily with EPA and USDA grants. He has nearly twenty years of leadership and management experience in both public and private sectors. Randall is an experienced community educator and communicator — including service as an extension agent with the State of West Virginia and as a skilled manager and facilitator. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Public Service and Master’s degree in Public Administration, both from West Virginia University.

Judy came on board in early February. Prior to joining the NAFTC, she had been operating her own Creative Marketing Services business for the past three years. Judy began the business after relocating to West Virginia from Florida. While in Florida, she worked for the multi-national concrete company RMC Industries, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. She has more than twenty years of experience in marketing and communications and has a B.A. in Fine Art / Visual Communications.

The NAFTC welcomes Ron Haun as Events Coordinator. Ron initially joined the NAFTC as the Events Coordinator in November 2004 on a temporary basis, and in March, he was hired as a full time employee.

Ron Haun and Becky Hayes

Ron brings a lot of experience with him to this position. He was a Sergeant with the Long Beach Police Department in Long Beach, California for 24 years. During the last five years of his Law Enforcement career, he was assigned to the Police Departments Special Events Detail.

Ron provided traffic and crowd control, in addition to property and event security for all Special Events. He assisted in the planning and implementation of various major motion pictures, the filming of commercials in the city of Long Beach, as well as large events, such as the Long Beach Grand Prix, the Long Beach Marathon, and numerous large parades and festivals.

As the NAFTC’s Events Coordinator, Ron is responsible for the successful execution of NAFTC meetings, events, training classes, travel, and other activities related to NAFTC functions.

Rebecca Hayes signed-on with the NAFTC in June as the new Writer / Editor. A Morgantown native, she has returned home after spending 8 years in Denver, Colorado working as a Senior Technical Writer and Project Manager for Qwest Communications. Rebecca received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Concord College, and brings years of media experience to the NAFTC with previous employment at Morgantown’s WCLG radio and with NBC news in Florida. As the Writer / Editor for the NAFTC, Rebecca will be responsible for overseeing the writing and production of news releases, instructional presentations, external communications and curricula editing.
