Rental Car Agency Exclusively Offers Hybrid Vehicles

For the many business travelers who wish to rent a car but cringe at the thought of high gasoline prices, another option is available. EV Rental Cars is the country’s only rental car agency exclusively offering hybrid vehicles, and it has eight locations to serve clients. The company rents hybrids such as the Toyota Prius, Toyota Highlander, and Honda Civic, and it is located at airports in Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Oakland; Orange County, California; Phoenix; San Diego; San Francisco; and San Jose.

EV Rental Cars opened in December 1998 with a mission to provide the most technologically advanced environmental vehicles to the general public, to educate the public and raise awareness of the benefits of driving clean-fuel cars, and to create a market for clean-car technology. Its hybrid fleet has grown to more than 350 cars, and the company has plans to accumulate more hybrids over the next six to twelve months, adding as many as five hundred more vehicles to its Las Vegas location alone.

“We have a responsibility to the environment and to the economy to help business travelers who are suffering from political foot-dragging and oil company profiteering,” said EV Rental Cars Chairman Jeff Pink.

The company’s large fleet of used hybrids is also available for sale to the public. EV Rental Cars estimates that it has prevented more than one hundred tons of air pollution and passed on more than $1 million in fuel cost savings to its customers. More information on EV Rental Cars can be found on its Web site, www.evrental.com.
