The NAFTC exhibited at the Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC) Spring Conference held April 2–4 in Orlando, Florida. ATMC is a professional organization designed to help members better train their customers to understand and use the latest products and techniques in the automotive and heavy-duty industry. The Consortium is a member of ATMC, and NAFTC Executive Director Al Ebron serves as ATMC’s first vice president.
ATMC hosts two conferences each year—one in the spring and one in the fall. These conferences provide members a great opportunity to meet others in ATMC. They are also a chance for organizations to showcase their products and services to fellow members and guests. The conference’s theme was “Managed Learning in the 21st Century.” It featured keynote speaker Robb Powell from Gradepoint, an eLearning company. His mini-seminar was titled, “The Managed Learning Environment: What Is It, and Is My Enterprise Ready?” Other presentations included Learning Management Systems, Training Outsourcing Services, Aftermarket Training Update, Thermography, Integration of Service Information, and Blended Learning. In addition to the exhibiting opportunities the NAFTC has as an ATMC member, it also benefits from ATMC’s technological knowledge and updates. More information can be found on ATMC’s Web site, http://www.atmc.org.
