The West Virginia University chapter of the Sierra Club attended one of NAFTC's educational workshops on October 19, 2005, at the NAFTC national training lab in Morgantown.

NAFTC Instructor Rich Cregar delivered "Alternative Fuels 101" to the group. While this presentation normally lasts about two and a half hours, interaction and questions from the group kept everyone in their seats for more than three hours.

The group also toured the NAFTC facility. Many of the student members of the local Sierra Club drive diesel automobiles fueled with vegetable oil, so there was a great deal of interest and discussion around the NAFTC biodiesel plant and the differences between biodiesel and vegetable oil.

Members of the WVU Sierra Club, along with their club sponsor, WVU Professor William Bryan (far right), fill out their participation forms prior to the workshop.
