From the Office of the Executive Director

Dear Friends:

Happy holidays! Welcome to the December issue of eNews. In this edition, we are pleased to bring you our annual "Year in Review" article in which we reiterate the major industry and NAFTC news we have covered over the past twelve months. Some of the highlights include the popularity of hybrids and new sources for alternative fuels. The NAFTC has been extremely productive this year with many activites including training and making educational presentations, attending numerous national conferences, holding business meetings, and developing and testing curricula, among many other achievements. Please read "2007: A Year in Review" for more information.

Also included in this festive edition are articles reporting newly-formed partnerships that have a focus on hydrogen fuel cell technology. The stories "Daimler and Ford Partner for New Fuel Cell Company" and "GM and Disney Team up for Fuel Cell Vehicle Testing" contain more details. In addition, the NAFTC recently had the great opportunity to bring the first hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicle to the State of West Virginia! You can learn about this exciting event in the story "NAFTC Hosts First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle Demonstration in West Virginia."

Hybrid technology is making eNews headlines again as these vehicles top the list of fuel efficient vehicles and more automakers are offering hybrid selections. Please read "Hybrids Highly Ranked in 2008 Fuel Economy Guide" and "Automakers Offer Hybrids To Compete" to learn more.

Thank you for making 2007 a memorable year for the NAFTC. Please contact us if we can be of service to you in the upcoming year, and Seasons Greetings to you and your loved ones!

Sincerely,

Al Ebron
NAFTC Executive Director
