Dear Industry Professional:

Autumn finds the NAFTC a very busy place. We have recently been planning and preparing for the 2008 National AFV Day Odyssey. Many of you receiving this email hosted an Odyssey site and are aware that we had 89 sites nationwide and one site in Canada! From the reports we have gotten from several of you, it sounds like your AFV Day Odyssey and other alternative fuel activities have also been very busy.
 
Our program activities continue to increase as we get the word out about alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles. We have several training and outreach opportunities in the works for the next quarter and will contact you with an update as soon as they are finalized. However, today I am writing to inform you of some upcoming training being held in response to numerous requests. The training will be conducted at Yuba College, an NAFTC National Training Center, located in Marysville, California.
 
Following is the information on the training being conducted:

Basic Understanding of Battery-Electric and Hybrid-Electric Vehicles
(Includes Train-The-Trainer component for NAFTC members)

  • October 28 - 29, 2008
  • Regular Non-Member Price - $650*
    -Class code 8001.209

* members call for special member pricing.

** The First Responder Safety Training: Hybrid Electric Vehicles Train-the-Trainer Course is open to NAFTC members and pre-qualified first responder trainers. First responder trainers wanting to register for the train-the-trainer component of the hybrid electric vehicle first responder course will need to pre-qualify by the following electronic agreement form.
