In 2004, Odyssey had nearly 25,000 attendees at 54 sites located in 34 states while 24 million were reached through media coverage. In 2006, National AFV Day Odyssey proved for the third time to be the largest one-day event promoting the use of alternative fuels and energy-efficient vehicles. Odyssey events were held throughout the country in 33 states, plus 2 sites in Canada and 1 site in Germany. Nearly 40,000 attendees took part in activities and Odyssey’s message reached more than 30 million individuals through media coverage!
Our most recent installment of National AFV Day Odyssey, held October 3, 2008, once again broke all records and gained tremendous national attention. With a total of 90 events held throughout the U.S. and Canada, the National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Day Odyssey events featured industry experts, vehicle displays, educational seminars, vehicle test drives, testimonials, networking opportunities, and much more. This year’s event was the fourth installment of Odyssey and had over 200,000 attendees and more than 50 million people reached by media coverage! The event was honored with a national resolution to designate October 3, 2008 as National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Day. The resolution was spearheaded by U.S. Senator Robert C. Byrd, and was supported by 22 other U.S. Senators.
