NAFTC Showcases Training & Odyssey at AFVI Conference

The NAFTC exhibited at the 13th national Alternative Fuels and Vehicles Conference and Expo, held in Anaheim, California, on April 1-4. At the conference, NAFTC staff members Judy Moore and Julie Whiteman showcased NAFTC training opportunities and the success of the 2006 National AFV Day Odyssey. The speakers and exhibitors at the 2007 conference addressed solutions and available options for determining the best vehicle and fuel choices for fleets.

Attendees were provided with information sessions on alternative fuels, updates on the current technologies available, networking opportunities, opportunities to view and learn about industry products and services during the trade show, and the always popular ride and drive. Additionally, keynote presentations included Neel Kashkari, U.S. Department of Treasury, Economic Risks of Oil and the President's Plan To Make Us Secure; Pete McCloskey, Policy and Environmental Analyst, From California to Washington: How Policy and Business Innovation Can Slow Climate Change; James Woolsey, Booz Allen Hamilton, Energy, Security, and the Long War of the 21st Century; and T. Boone Pickens, BP Capital Management, A Peak at the Future Direction of Oil Markets.

The 2008 AFVI Conference is scheduled for May 11-14 at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
