NAFTC to Host Inaugural "Clean Air & Energy Independence" Conference

The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) is proud to announce its inaugural "Clean Air & Energy Independence" Conference to be held June 19-20, in picturesque Asheville, NC. The Conference's theme, Exploring Innovations in Next Generation Vehicles acts as an umbrella covering many aspects of the alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle industry, including hydrogen fuel cell, hybrid electric vehicles, electric vehicles, new battery technology, plug-in hybrids, alternative fuels, and government updates.

"The ‘Clean Air & Energy Independence' Conference comes as a result of the many inquiries the NAFTC has received throughout the past few years requesting that we open the NAFTC member business meetings to others because of the excellent alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle learning opportunities the meetings have offered," said NAFTC Assistant Director - Communications Judy Moore. "Converting our business meetings to conferences so that we can include those from automotive, alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle industries is an exciting venture and we expect the Conference will simply help us in continuing our mission of reducing America's consumption of oil and promoting cleaner transportation."

Pre-conference training will be conducted on June 18 with both the NAFTC's First Responder Safety Training: Hybrid Electric Vehicles and First Responder Safety Training: Hydrogen Vehicles 4-hour workshops being offered. Those attending the Conference and who are also interested in attending the workshops will receive a discounted rate on the trainings.
