October 1, 2004 -- The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) has moved to its new headquarters at Ridgeview Business Park in Morgantown, WV. With approximately 11,800 square feet of space, the new facility has been specially designed to house the NAFTC’s offices, classrooms and automotive laboratory.
The building features a 5-bay automotive shop that will include a dynamometer bay, a lift bay, and three automotive bays. The state-of-the-art automotive training lab will include space that can be used for student learning activities, as well as diagrams/displays for all of the NAFTC’s alternative fuel vehicles. The new classroom will be a dedicated teaching space kept separate from the offices and staff area. Other special additions include a dedicated computer room to house the NAFTC’s servers, which will have its own climate control system. A natural gas slow-fill refueling station will be another on-site addition to the NAFTC’s new headquarters facility.
